Mission: The mission of the Texas Baptist Children's Home is to provide supportive services based on Christian values for children, youth and families.

Description: History The dream of providing quality Christian care for abused and neglected children in Central Texas became a reality in 1950. In that year, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Henna Sr. of Round Rock donated 112 acres of land and five newly-constructed buildings (three cottages, an administration building and a superintendent's residence) to the Baptist General Convention of Texas for the purpose of establishing the Texas Baptist Children's Home. During the past nearly 60 years, Texas Baptist Children's Home has expanded to 26 buildings that house the following programs: Campus Life Campus Life Program provides long-term residential care for children and youth ages 6 to 17 in a cottage-style setting. Children in care attend Round Rock ISD and are free to participate in extracurricular activities such as band, athletics, choir and school-sponsored organizations. Single-Parent Family Care Family Care assists single working mothers with dependent children in times of crisis. Seven cottages serve up to five families each, with ample room for playtime with their children. Clients come from different walks of life, but have experienced similar events, either through economic stress, abuse, divorce or personal trauma. Healthy Opportunities that Protect and Empower (HOPE) Program HOPE offers a variety of services to individuals and families in the Round Rock and surrounding communities who experience challenging life events, but do not need residential care. Services are often provided in the community (at apartment complexes, schools, churches, a person's home) to make them more accessible. Mission Statement To provide supportive services based on Christian values for children, youth, and families. Vision Statement Making a difference in people's lives, by applying resources to needs, so that all those we serve have opportunity to reach their God-given potential. Core Values Cooperation — Working together to find solutions Honor — Teaching responsibility in all our programs Respect — Protecting individual and family rights Integrity — Affirming that trust is critical to healthy growth Stewardship — Utilizing all our resources wisely Teamwork — Serving together bonds and makes us stronger
