Mission: The purpose of Christian Women's Job Corps®, is to provide a Christian context in which women in need are equipped for life and employment; and a missions context for women to help women.

Description: The purpose of Christian Women's Job Corps®, a ministry of Woman's Missionary Union (WMU), is to provide a Christian context in which women in need are equipped for life and employment; and a missions context in which women help women. Christian Women's Job Corps is open to any woman, regardless of her religious background, who desires the necessary skills and encouragement to achieve success in self-sufficiency. Some of the classes generally offered include computer training, life skills (budgeting, health care, nutrition, communication, etc.), resume preparation and work search skills training. Two key aspects of our program are Mentoring and Bible Study. Christian Women's Job Core provides a Christian atmosphere where women teach job and life skills to other women in need. They have life and job search skills training programs. Programs include mentoring, GED tutoring, resume skills, ESL tutoring, and evening Bible Study. They also help women find personal discovery of who God wants them to be and who they are by using map assessment, which looks at basic motivations, aptitudes, personality and how it relates to their work.

Needs: CWJC is supported through prayers, in-kind donations and monetary gifts of area churches, organizations, businesses and individuals. See the website for details on each of these.
